HVAC Internet Marketing Guide for 2015

If you are in the HVAC business servicing your local area, there really is no reason for you not to do internet marketing for your business. In fact, if you don’t do it, that is, market your company online, you could be losing out on thousands of dollars in new business. Before we move on any further, however, let me first explain what internet marketing is.

Internet marketing at its most basic is really the art/science of promoting your business on the Internet. At the heart of this art/science are two basic disciplines: (a) creating your brand and (b) promoting it through the different marketing channels.

The future is actually bright for local HVAC businesses. With HVAC internet marketing, never before has there been so much opportunity to explode revenues on a relatively shoestring budget. So, how do you go about doing internet marketing?

Assuming that you already have a brand name, your internet marketing efforts all start with keyword research. Keyword is nothing more than discovering the words that your customers would type in Google to find a business like yours.

There are many keyword tools out there. Some free and some paid. When doing keyword research, it’s important to cast a wide net and find as many variation of your main keyword. For example, if you’re based in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, you might want to start with “HVAC technicians Ft Lauderdale” and extend to the services you offer like, for example “air conditioning repair Ft Lauderdale”, etc. Gather all your keywords in a master list.

You are going to use your keywords as the basis for creating different marketing campaigns on Google through Search Engine Optimization (SEO), Youtube (video marketing), Google Adwords and other pay-per-click advertising channels, and Facebook.

Like in the case of keywords, you should cast a wide nest in promoting your business and not just rely on one marketing channel for promotion. However, we do recognize that for absolute newbies, learning about all the best marketing methods now can cause information overload that can put a plug on taking massive action, which is absolutely essential for any kind of success online.

That said, choose a marketing method and learn all that you can about it from the people who are successful in using those methods. Apply what you learned to your own website and track your progress, and don’t stop until you’re generating new business and increasing your revenues with your chosen method.
